I swear sleep is the number 1 topic we speak about as mums, we go on and on and on about it, comparing, and moaning and seeking support or guidance until our kids leave home. Am I right? Our desire to get baby sleeping better is real!

Baby won’t sleep unless on you, or rocked, or snuggled up, or fed. Baby won’t sleep unless you’re sitting holding their hand or in their room. They get overtired way too quickly, and you just can’t seem to get them to nap in the day, so bedtime is horrendous. 

You reach out and keep getting told to toughen up, let them cry it out, they’ll go to sleep sooner or later. You’re told to stop comforting them so much, and to stop smothering them, to stop spoiling them. You’re told you’re doing more harm than good! 

And all that does is make your mum guilt SO much worse, and it doesn’t even start to help address or properly help with the lack of sleep you and baby are getting, because let’s be honest that’s all you want right? Everyone needs to be well-rested, including you.
